A facelifted version of the Hyundai Creta has been spotted doing the rounds near the South Korean auotmaker's faclity outide Chennai. The updated car will the first and possibly the only mid-life upgrade for Hyundai's highly successful D-segment SUV.

      Hyundai Creta facelift

Since the Creta is based on the on the Chinese spec ix25, it is likely to get the same updates. This list includes a new grille, design for the alloy wheels as well as rear bumper.

Since this is Hyundai, we can expect a bigger touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, additional storage spaces and possibly four airbags as standard fitment. Oddly enough, the top spec Creta still lacks a distance-to-empty meter as well as cruise control. We expect these options to be added to the list. Mechanically, there are expected to be no changes to the car. The current drivetrains – a 1.6-litre petrol, 1.6-litre diesel and 1.4-litre diesel - are all expected to retained from the current car.

We had expected Hyundai to showcase the Creta facelift at the 2018 Auto Expo but, given its importance in their hierarchy, we believe a mid-2018 debut is more likely.
