The year 2015 is going to be a big one for Indian car market with many new models, from hatchbacks to SUVs, ready to be rolled out by several companies. To maintain their share in the market, the auto makers introduce new versions of their tried and tested cars every couple of years. All new Jetta by Volkswagen and Verna by Hyundai are both face-lifted versions of their predecessors that are ready to enter the Indian market this year.

Jetta is one of the most successful cars by the German automobile giant, Volkswagen, and the company is ready to launch a face-lifted version of its sedan soon. The new Jetta will come with a number of cosmetic changes. The headlights and grille are fused into a single visual entity to give a bolder look like that of the Passat. The front bumper is also modified to give an increased aerodynamic efficiency. The new headlights come with chrome inserts and LED accents, which make the car's front fascia look fresh and stylish. The rear-end of the sedan is made slimmer and comes with an all new bumper. The interiors of the car have also gone through a major overhaul with a bigger instrument panel dominating the dashboard now. On the technical front, the new Jetta comes equipped with the reworked 2.0 TDI diesel engine that now churns out an increased 10 bhp of power.

      Hyundai Verna

On the other hand, the new Verna by Hyundai was first showcased at last year’s auto show in Beijing, China. The car features a completely new front with aggressive looking lines and styling. Advancements like larger headlamps with completely redesigned fog lamps are also seen in the upcoming car. The new bolder looking diamond-cut alloy wheels are added, and the rear bumper has been revised too. There are not many major changes expected in the cabin or the engine. The sedan will be powered by the same petrol and diesel engines, as its current generation siblings have.

Both the face-lifted cars will be launched in February 2015 in India, with the official dates being 18th Feb for Verna and 17th Feb for Jetta. Pre-bookings for the cars have already been started. All new Hyundai Verna can be booked at a price of Rs. 21,000 while the new Jetta can be ordered at a price of Rs. 1 lakh. If you pre-book the vehicle now, you get first preference on the shade and variant of the car along with a preference in deliveries.
