Mahindra will be launching the Quanto facelift in mid-2016 and this is likely to be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Mahindra Quanto facelift will get a major upgrade when compared to the existing version that is sold. Our sources confirm that this new SUV will be launched sometime in mid-2016.
Mahindra will be pricing the Quanto more than the TUV300 and this will be targeting urban buyers majorly. The Quanto will be renamed as well (not Canto- that has been floating for a while) but it will be getting a new name. The Quanto will get a new front end with a new hood as well, which will even have an air-scoop.
The Quanto will have daytime running lamps too. The engine on the Quanto will be jointly developed by Mahindra and Ssangyong and there shall even an all-wheel drive option available for exports. The interiors of the Quanto will be upgraded and there will be more bells and whistles like touchscreen system, satellite navigation and maybe even cruise control. Mahindra is looking at making the Quanto a lot more muscular, powerful, efficient and premium in its segment.
