Eicher Polaris Pvt. Ltd. has launched the ‘Multix’ utility vehicle in Odisha and prices start at Rs 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom Bhubaneshwar). The brand will begin operations out of four dealerships that are located in Bhubaneshwar, Cuttak, Sambalpur and Berhampur.
Powering the Multix is a diesel engine that runs for 27km on a litre of fuel, and will be offered in two variants called AX+ and MX. Eicher Polaris added that the Multix has undergone extensive testing for off-road reliability, safety and durability. This five-seater can swallow 1918litres of luggage and is designed for both families and businesses.
Nevertheless, the most attractive feature on the Multix will be the power takeaway function that allows users to extract up to 3kW of electricity from this vehicle and meet their requirements to light up homes, or power equipment such as drilling machines, water pumps etc.
