Renault India Pvt. Ltd, which is the fully owned subsidiary of the premier French car maker, Renault s.a.s, has clocked a sales of 6607 units in the month of November this year. The company maintained a steady growth in November, though, its sales this month was slightly less than its sales figures for October 2012. The sales figure for Renault India continues to remain healthy which is mainly accounted to the sales of its compact SUV Duster. The SUV, ever since its launch in the country in July this year, has lured buyers and helped in the growth of the company in India.

The company reached a sales figure of 6607 units in November with a contribution of 5251 units in sales of the Duster, followed by Scala with a sales figure of 807 units. The Pulse was successful in luring 436 buyers, whereas the Fluence sales figure stood at 82 units and the Koleos clocked 31 units. As is clear from the figure, around 80 per cent of Renault India's sales in the month of November came from Duster.

Sumit Sawhney, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Renault India said, “Although the market is still slow we are happy to see Renault maintaining steady progress as our products led by the Duster are finding ready acceptance with our customers. We have opened 75 dealerships in less than 18 months and this has helped us reach our customers pan India with our full stable of products.”

The company did good business in the month of October this year as well, when it clocked a total sales figure of 6790 units. The total sales figure attained by the French auto maker in the month of October in the country was its best ever performance in any month since its entry into India in May 2011. The company has so far expanded its dealership network to 75 outlets in the country, which Renault plans to take it to 100 by the end of the year.

Talking about the sales figure attained by the company in the month of October 2012, Marc Nassif, MD Renault India Pvt. Ltd had said, “We are highly pleased with our sales figures and we are glad to see that the Indian customer has accepted Renault products very well, especially the Renault Duster. We at Renault are very positive towards our entire product range and our growing dealer network has also added to our growth in sales and reaching the customers on a pan-India level”.

Renault India clocked the sales figure of 6790 units in October with the huge sales of its Duster SUV that stood at 5406 units. This was again around 80 per cent of the company’s total sales. The Scala, Pulse, Fluence and the Koleos model accounted for only 20 per cent of the company's overall sales.

The sales figure of Duster SUV for the month of October and November, which contributed to around 80 per cent of Renault India's overall sales, stands testimony to the fact that the premium car maker is flourishing in the country only because of its much in demand Duster. However, if the company has to do well in the long run, it has plan properly and make strategies for the future.
