The Dodge Challenger is a modern muscle car harking back to the 60s era of American muscle. The Dodge Demon, revealed earlier this year, has received rave reviews from muscle car aficionados. Looking at the success of the Dodge Demon, the American carmaker has decided to give the Challenger SRT Hellcat the scoops of the Demon.

The Hellcat is all set to receive the Demon’s wide-body kit adding 3.5-inches to its track. It will also get the large 20x11 inch ‘Devil’s rim’ alloy wheels with the grippy 305 section Pirelli P-Zero performance tyres. The Hellcat will also get the new electronic power steering with SRT drive modes for road and track driving to offer the best of all worlds.

The 707bhp 6.2-litre V8 motor has been untouched but with the extra grip, the Hellcat will hit the quarter mile in under 11 seconds on its way to a top speed of 300kmph. The front splitter has been borrowed from the Demo while the rear wing of the Hellcat has been retained. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody will hit the American market in the third quarter with orders opening from July.

For us in India, we can only gape at the photographs and imagine how fast it would be in real time, because Dodge has no plans to bring the Challenger or the Hellcats or the Demon to India anytime soon.
