      Details leaked ahead of 2017 Hyundai Creta debut

      Hyundai Creta has been a strong player in the compact sedan space in the country. This time around, details of the 2017 Creta has been leaked giving us an insight into what to expect. The revised version will offer a host of interesting upgrades including interior features as well as cosmetic upgrades which will continue generating fresh interest in the product.

      Details leaked ahead of 2017 Hyundai Creta debut

      The base E variant has been left untouched and it continues to be offered in petrol guise. The E+ variant which was limited to 1.6-litre petrol, will not also be available with a 1.4-litre CRDi engine option with a manual gearbox. Moving up, the S trim has also left unchanged, while the S+, SX+, SX+ Dual Tone and the SX(O) variants will be offered with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Mirrorlink and Arkamys Sound Mood. Additionally, the SX+ trim in manual will get new dual tone colour options - Polar White and Red Passion with Phantom Black coloured roof and pillars. The SX+ dual tone version will also be available with all black interiors and red and black seat upholstery.

      2017 Creta interior details leaked

      The 2017 Creta from Hyundai will continue to be powered by existing engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 1.6-litre engine that generates 122bhp of power and 154Nm of torque. The diesel variant is available in two engine options – 1.4-litre engine that generates 89bhp of power and 224Nm of torque, while the 1.6-litre engine generates 126bhp of power and 265Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre diesel and petrol engines are available in six-speed manual as well as six-speed automatic transmission options, while the smaller 1.4-litre diesel is offered only with a manual transmission.

      Along with generating fresh interest and growth in sales, the new Creta will further strengthen up its competition against the likes of Ford EcoSport and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in the country.
