Exhibited at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year in February, Fiesta facelift launch is likely to happen soon. Ford will be launching the diesel version first followed by the petrol variant that is slated to come later this year. Ahead of the launch we bring you the details on the tweaks given to the sedan’s facelift. Ford Fiesta diesel will be spawned in three trims including the Ambiente, Trend and Titanium. On the exterior front, the sedan gets a new redesigned front fascia with a preeminent chrome finished front grille. Head lights have also been reworked to provide ample space for the new grille to fit well. Among other modifications a revised bumper and fog lamps are also included. Rear has also been tweaked, a revivified bumper, license plate enclosure and combination lamps are among the changes made to the rear.

No significant change has been made inside the cabin except for a few including the centre console that will now be seen painted in black instead of the previous silver color. A Ford AppLink system will also be equipped inside the cabin enabling voice commands for smartphone applications, though this feature could be exquisite to the top end variants of the sedan.

A 1.5 litre diesel powerplant will be powering the diesel variant. The 90 PS, 204 Nm diesel motor will be paired to a five-speed manual transmission as available in the outgoing version.

The sedan will be well equipped with standard primary safety features like Anti-Lock-Braking-System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, driver side airbag, electronically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, driver seat height adjuster and remote locking.

Features exclusive to the mid end trim comprise of control, automatic climate control, alloy wheels, audio system and Ford SYNC. Besides these, the top end version will come with added features like automatic headlamps and wipers, keyless entry with start/stop button, AppLink with Emergency Assist, electrically folding ORVMs and reverse parking sensors. Pricing remains to be the crucial factor for any vehicle in India to perform well in terms of sales and this time around Ford would carefully price new Fiesta.
