DC Design is gearing up for the launch of much-awaited DC Avanti sportscar in the Indian car market. The company has officially released the tagline 'Feel Alive' for the Avanti. Bookings for the sportscar has already commenced, while the launch could take place in the early 2015. The sportscar is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 38-40 lakh, ex-showroom.
The DC Design Avanti is propelled by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns out a maximum power output of 250bhp and a peak torque of 360Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels of the car via a six-speed manual transmission gearbox.
The DC Avanti sportscar measures 4,550mm in length, 1,965mm in width and 1,200mm in height. It comes with a large wheelbase of 2,700mm and has a good ground clearance of 170mm. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 20-inch alloy wheels, which are shod with 255/35 tyres at the front and 295/30 tyres at the rear. The DC Avanti sedan weighs just 1,580kg, thanks to the high use of a carbon composite. Both front and rear features the double wishbone suspension setup.
