The RediGO is based on the new CMF-A platform, which has been developed by the Renault and Nissan jointly. This platform is used to make the Renault Kwid also. However there will be a major difference in the styling of the Kwid and the RediGO, be it inside or outside. The RediGO will be priced between Rs 2.1 lakhs to Rs 2.7 lakhs. It will come with a single airbag, in-dash music system with bluetooth, aux and USB. The RediGO looks a lot similar to that on the RediGO concept.

The Datsun RediGO will be get the new petrol engine and there is also likely to be an AMT (automated manual transmission) that will be manufactured by ZF. Datsun will be revealing the RediGO at the 2016 Auto Expo. The RediGO will be competing with the Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and the Hyundai Eon. The RediGO will be making its way into production by mid-2016. Datsun will be first introducing the GO-CROSS, and then looking at getting the RediGO. The Japanese automaker had revealed the GO-CROSS at the Tokyo Motor Show recently.
