Datsun RediGo, first showcased in 2014 Auto Expo has been one of the most awaited models that is due for launch in India. On numerous occasions the vehicle has been spotted undergoing road tests, thereby hinting on its possible launch sometime soon. As per a fresh update from sources, the company shall launch the RediGo sometime in May this year. Though the vehicle shares some minor parts with the Kwid, it does not carry similar features.
As revealed by sources, the Dastun RediGo would not be offered with 0.8- or 1.0-liter three-cylinder engines on Kwid, but would instead get Nissan’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder unit that currently serves the Micra and Datsun’s Go and Go+ vehicles in India. It is believed that the RediGo from Datsun maybe loaded with equivalent or more featured than the Kwid hatchback from Renault. It is anticipated that the Datsun’s RediGo would be offered at a starting price tag of around Rs 4-lakh.
