The Datsun Redi-GO 1.0-litre AMT version has been launched in India today at an introductory price of Rs 3.8 lakhs (ex-showroom). Deliveries will begin today from all dealerships across the country.
This new Datsun Redi-GO Smart Drive Auto is based on the 1.0-litre Redi-GO variants sold in India. Exterior appearance remains the same and so does the interior save for the new AMT gearbox in place of the manual and a new infotainment system. This new 2-DIN audio player gets Bluetooth with hands-free calling and audio streaming. The other features are carried over from the current 1.0-litre manual transmission models.
The same 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol mill powers this new Redi-GO 1.0-litre AMT model. This engine produces 67bhp of power and 91Nm of torque and now comes mated to an AMT gearbox with manual overdrive and creep mode. This enables a driver to drive the vehicle in an automatic mode or manually change gears as and when needed.
Compact size, quirky design, 185mm ground clearance and a spacious cabin are some of the highlights of the Datsun Redi-GO. The addition of the AMT gearbox will add to the convenience of prospective buyers with clutch-less gearshifts. The price also makes it an affordable automatic car powered by a 1.0-litre petrol mill.
