We had recently done a story that Datsun will be unveiling the new Go-Cross at the 2016 Auto Expo and the Japanese automaker has confirmed this. It released a teaser image of what can be expected at the 2016 Auto Expo at the Datsun stall. The Go-Cross concept was first showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show last year. This concept is based on the Go Plus, and has got a cosmetic treatment to differentiate it from the MUV. With the rise of the crossover segment, Datsun will not want to miss out on this opportunity.

The Go-Cross is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns about 68bhp of power. There won’t a diesel engine on offer at least in the initial phase. The Datsun brand is looking at adding more products to its two-product portfolio and the GO-CROSS will be the third product. The Go-Cross will be priced about Rs 35,000 than the Go Plus.

This will be based on the CMF-A platform and it will be launched with a 800cc or a 1.0-litre petrol engine. The Redi-Go is a super compact SUV that will be first in its segment. The initial plan was to introduce the Redi-GO around Auto Expo, however on seeing the response Kwid got with the additional features, there has been a delay in the launch.
