Nissan has held the Datsun brand strongly in the Indian market. The Datsun Go hatchback generated a good amount of initial sales response but did not gather anticipated figures later on. This time around Nissan wants to ensure Datsun's presence in the MPV segment is a success next year. The Datsun Go+ MPV was first showcased to the masses at the Auto Expo Event held earlier this year. Since then, the vehicle has featured in the list of one of the most anticipated vehicle in the Indian market. It is likely that the Go+ MPV may be offered in five trims namely - D, A, Option A, T and Option T.
Datsun's Go+ MPV may not get a diesel trim in the initial period to say the least. As for the petrol version, the MPV shall be powered by 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of generating about 68 PS of power with 104 Nm of peak torque. The engine may be borrowed from Nissan's 1.2 Liter line and shall be mated to a five speed gearbox. The Datsun Go+ MPV shall be positioned against brands hot-selling brands Maruti Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy, Toyota Innova and Honda Mobilio. The MPV features decent dynamics like - 3,995mm length, 1635mm width and 1,485mm height. Moreover the Go+ shall also larger wheelbase of about 2,450mm.
The interiors in the upcoming Datsun Go+ MPV is expected to fairly decent with all the required features. As of now, detailing on features has not been revealed by the company and may only be known at a later date. The Go+ MPV is expected to be smartly priced to maintain strong presence in its segment.
