Dacia, the Romanian car maker, has announced two special edition versions of Duster, namely Duster Air and the Sandero Black Touch, prior to their stipulated debut at Paris Motor Show 2014. As the name suggests, the Sandero Black Touch edition features a Sandero Laureate with pearlescent black accents, 15-inch alloy wheels and body colored bumpers, which together makes it special. Along with appealing exteriors, the interiors of this model flaunts pearlescent black trim and optional features like media navigation infotainment system and cruise control.
Coming to the technical specifications of Sandero Black Touch special edition model, it comes equipped with an option of 3 engines. The 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out a maximum power of 75 bhp, while 900 cc 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine returns 90 bhp. Another engine option, namely 1.5-litre, which runs on diesel fuel also produces 90 bhp of maximum power.
On the other hand, the Duster Air sports altimeter graphics, drawing inspiration from the aviation industry. The major highlights of this model include Imperial yellow side view mirrors, front/rear skid plates, tinted windows at rear and 16-inch alloy wheels. Its interiors also welcomes some appealing works like exclusive upholstery with embroidered motifs and contrast stitching.
There is an option of either a dCi 1.5-liter diesel engine or a TCe 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine in this model with former churning out a maximum power of 110 bhp while latter returning 125 bhp. There is also a provision of a petrol engine, featuring only two-wheel drive mode. In Indian currency, the Duster Air will cost around Rs. 12.5 lakh, while Dacia Sandero Black Touch edition will start at Rs. 8.1 lakh.
