Chevrolet gives you an opportunity to clock 240 Mph without risking a scratch on you in-case the vehicle crashes. Chevrolet has reportedly developed a laser-powered race car to allow players of Gran Turismo 6 fans to set the PlayStation track on fire with hi-speed driving circuit. The players get an opportunity to attain top speeds of about 240 Mph while accelerating from 0 to 60 in just about 1.5 seconds. Speaking more on the technology, Clay Dean, executive director of advanced design, said, “This concept is an audacious and ambitious vision – and one that demonstrates to a new audience how Chevy's engineering and design teams challenge norms and explore the technologies of tomorrow. It also an ode to a unique partnership that pioneered ground-breaking technologies that are used today on the track and the street.”

For this unique technology, Chevrolet has partnered with Texas-based Chaparral racing to deliver advanced technology that shall be used in race cars. This time too, Chevrolet has teamed up with Chaparral to come up with the Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo (VGT) concept car. The concept vehicle features a mid-mounted laser beamed-energy propulsion system that send out beam lights that are focused in shroud and render shock waves to generate tremendous thrust required in the race car.
