General Motors India Private Limited, the country’s fifth largest passenger car maker, has announced a nation wide campaign for enhancing the ownership experience of its Chevrolet models. This campaign being held across 250 dealer workshops in the country from April 19 to April 21 (10 am to 5 pm), and is called Chevrolet 'U First'. Multiple services such as free service check-up, discount on parts and labour for mechanical jobs in the camp, along with distributing complimentary gifts for all, will be provided. Apart from these, other facilities include booking and exchanging cars as per rules made for Chevrolet certified pre-owned vehicles. Test drives of existing Chevrolet cars and loan facilities to buy new ones would also be available.

Expressing his views on the new initiative, Rajesh Singh, Vice President (VP) of Sales, Marketing and After-sales for General Motors India said, “Chevrolet closely tracks evolving customer preferences and prevailing trends. This camp is an effort by us to continue our endeavour in communicating Chevrolet’s service accessibility and low maintenance costs to present as well as prospective customers through the Free Service Check-up Camp. We have been conducting similar free service check-up camps at regular intervals to take care of our customers at their door steps.”

In this manner, this camp will be a single contact point, where several facilities and services would be provided for Chevrolet car owners. At the Chevrolet U First Camp, the entire range of the company's vehicles would be on display, allowing potential customers to make the correct choice. Earlier, such Chevrolet U First Camps have been held across different cities in India, in order to create awareness about the American company's service points and customer benefits.

Various cars sold by Chevrolet in India include Captiva, Cruze, Sail, Sail U-VA, Tavera, Spark and Beat. In this manner, it is clear that Chevrolet has entered almost every segment in the market. It has also been declared by the company that a new vehicle would soon be launched in the fast growing compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) category, known as the Trax. This yet-to-be launched muscular SUV will give stiff competition to Renault Duster, Mahindra Quanto and Premier Rio.
