The soon-to-be launched Chevrolet Enjoy would take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Xylo and Nissan Evalia models in the good performing MPV segment. Ertiga can be called the undisputed champion of this class of vehicles and is followed by the Xylo, in terms total sales recorded in the domestic market. Both Ertiga and Xylo are top quality products and the upcoming Enjoy surely has a mountain to climb, if it wishes to lure domestic buyers away from its established rivals.

The seven-seater Chevy Enjoy made its public debut at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo and the stylish MPV managed some great reviews from both industry critics and press media alike. As per reports, the Chevy Enjoy is a by product of the joint efforts by General Motors and its Chinese partner Shanghai Industry Automotive Corporation (SAIC).

Speaking of under-the-hood specifications of Chevrolet Enjoy, the modish MPV is powered by a 1.3 litre Multijet oil burner and a 1.4 litre petrol engine. The 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine also powers the company’s Sail U-VA hatchback and Sail sedan models. The Enjoy would be assembled at the company’s Ranjangaon based facility, which should keep its pricing competitive against its direct rivals like Xylo and Ertiga. Industry sources suggest that the Chevrolet Enjoy could carry introductory price tags in the range between Rs. 6.5 and Rs. 9 lakh.
