The Chevy Enjoy is a seven-seater MPV and made its public debut at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo. The stylish MPV managed to garner positive reviews at the exposition from both industry critics and media alike. The American auto maker has developed the Enjoy model in a joint collaboration with its Chinese partner- SAIC Motors. Experts believe that the latest offering would open a new flank for General Motors to compete in the domestic passenger car market.

The Chevrolet Enjoy would challenge the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Xylo and Nissan Evalia upon its arrival on the Indian turf. At present, the mini MPV models represent one of the fastest growing segments of the domestic passenger car market. The Enjoy is expected to pose some stiff competition against the likes of segment leaders- Ertiga and Xylo models. The American auto maker has made sure that its new MPV is by all means a complete product, so as draw buyers away from the Ertiga.

As per industry sources, the Chevy Enjoy could come within an introductory price band of Rs. 6.5 to 9 lakh in the auto market. The company would be hoping that Enjoy’s competitive pricing, futuristic looks, practical space setting and decent under-the-hood performance is able to strike the perfect right chords with the Indian car buyers.

Speaking of under-the-hood specifications, the Chevrolet Enjoy would be offered in both petrol and diesel guises. The Enjoy petrol is expected to be powered by a 1.4 litre engine, whereas its diesel trim comes fitted with a 1.3 litre Multijet oil burner. According to sources, the American auto maker could be assembling the Enjoy MPV at its Ranjangaon based manufacturing facility that would help in keeping its pricing market competitive.
