The Cruze sedan from Chevrolet has been a popular choice among carbuyers across the globe. For a while news had been doing rounds hinting on a possibility of a hybrid version in-works. This time around sources have managed to snap the Cruze hybrid test mule in Michigan. The production version of this sedan is expected to be officially unveiled sometime later this year.
Under the hood, sources believed that the vehicle may be powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine carried from the Volt or a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine from the Malibu Hybrid. Either one of the two engine would be backed by a lithium-ion battery pack and one electric motor. Due to camouflage a more details could not be immediately known for now however it is believed that the vehicle may get redone air intakes, new front bumpers and subtle side skirts. Inside, it is expected to carry more or less the same design as the existing one except for some minor upgrades.
