The patent sketches of the Chevrolet Captiva hint that the car is going to get revamped soon. Alas, this update is not a complete overhaul but just a small facelift. The changes in the front include a redesigned dual-port grille, revised headlamps with DRLs and a new bumper with skid plate. The silhouette is the same as the current model, but gets a different pattern for the alloy wheels. At the back, the new bumper sports twin circular tailpipes and a silver diffuser. The interior might also get a few changes to give it a modern feel.

The powertrain options from the current Captiva are expected to continue with the refreshed version. This includes a 2.2-litre diesel mill (184bhp, 424Nm) offered as an AWD variant and a 2.0-litre oil-burner (150bhp, 320Nm) as a FWD version. The former unit comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox and the latter comes paired to a six-speed manual.

The Chevrolet Captiva has not been doing well in the Indian market due to its lack in demand. However, Chevrolet might consider offering this facelifted version in India through the CBU route. The only other SUV from the company is the Trailblazer slotted in the premium SUV segment.
