      Chevrolet Captiva 2011 coming soon

      Chevrolet Captiva 2011, the much awaited next generation version of this luxury SUV (sports utility vehicle), is expected to be launched in the Indian market very soon. Though the car has already been launched in a number of foreign markets, it is yet to be unveiled in the Indian auto market. Recently, the latest spy pictures of the all new Chevrolet Captiva were uploaded by the Car and Bike Show.

      While all of the existing variants of Captiva are powered by a 2.0L VCDi I-4 engine, the new version of this SUV is speculated to be carrying an addition diesel variant powered by 2.2L turbocharged diesel engine. The 2.2L diesel variant will be launched in two variants, one with turbocharger and the other without. While the first one would be delivering a maximum power of 184 bhp with 400 Nm peak torque, the second one will lesser powered with 163 bhp power and 350 Nm torque.

      From the spy pictures, the car looks to be carrying a number of cosmetic changes at the exterior. Moreover, the car is expected to be carrying a series of upgrades inside that comprises of new dashboard and new speedometer design. In addition to this, the car will be carrying a some additional safety and performance boosting features including additional airbags, traction control, ESP, hill-hold.

      The all new Chevrolet Captiva is expected to be launched in the price segment of Rs 20 lakh where it is competing with the likes of Ford Fiesta, Toyota Fortuner, Nissan X-trail, Honda CR-V and Mitsubishi Outlander.
