Test mules of the 2017 Chevrolet Beat have appeared again in a disguised avatar and this time around new spy shots have revealed the changes to the inside of the hatchback.

On first glance, the interior looks similar to the current Beat on sale but on closer inspection, you will see that there are quite a few changes. The carmaker has upped the premium appeal by adding chrome around the air-con vents and silver embellishments on the dashboard. The all-black treatment is now replaced by a dual-tone dashboard. The most welcome change is the addition of a touch screen infotainment unit, which might be the brand's MyLink2 system.

The instrument cluster is also updated with a blue background lighting and its housing gets a chrome outline. There are steering mounted audio and telephony controls, switches on the dashboard for electronically operated ORVMs and a foldable key with remote functions. The presence of manual knobs for the AC unit, from what seems to be the top-spec Beat, keeps us wonder if automatic climate control will be offered.

The exterior of the upcoming Chevrolet Beat facelift  will be similar to the Chevrolet Spark sold globally. This is also similar to the fascia of the Beat Essentia unveiled at this year's Auto Expo. The new Beat’s petrol and diesel engine options might be carried over from the existing hatchback. Upon launch, the new Beat will be amongst the five new Chevrolet products which will be launched in the next two years including the Beat Essentia, Beat Activ, next-gen Cruze and the new Trailblazer.
