As per the new regulations, the front crash test shall be conducted in speeds of about 56 kmph, whereas side crash test would be conducted at speeds of about 50 kmph. The fresh timelines shall be issued by road transport ministry soon. The standards are reportedly based on international norms that shall make vehicles safer for occupants. Even small cheaper cars shall have these minimum safety features.
