Sources state that Land Rover will want to keep the looks of the hybrid version different from the regular model. Which is the reason why fresh design traits have been incorporated into the body style. Though details regarding the powertrain are yet to be confirmed, sources state that the plug-in hybrid powerplant is probably based on the Ingenium 2.0-litre 296bhp petrol motor.

This engine will work in tandem with a 201bhp electric motor that’s currently in the works, and makes 450Nm of torque. A battery pack situated under the boot will provide enough electric power to give this hybrid Range Rover Sport a range of about 48km on pure electricity. Though JLR hasn’t revealed when this car could be unveiled, reports claim that it may hit the global arena in the second half of 2018.
