Jeep’s entry-level Renegade SUV has been spotted doing the rounds once again near Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. Despite the covering, we can notice some of its signature elements like the boxy shape, slatted grille and round headlamps.
Fiat has been testing the Renegade in India for a while now but has never, till date, confirmed a launch date for this entry-level vehicle. We believe that Fiat will bring the Renegade to India but only if it starts local assembly so that the prices will allow Jeep to slot the Renegade into the D-segment area of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
The Jeep Renegade is the American SUV maker’s entry-level vehicle in its lineup and is based on the same platform and underpinnings as the Fiat 500X. It was launched in 2014 and is currently on sale both in Europe and America. It is offered with a range of petrol and diesel engines both of which can be had as an AT as well as an MT.
