The California Superbikes School (CSS) seems all prepared to mark its fourth successful entry in the country in January 2013. The founder of CSS, Keith Code, will file his attendance at the event and will be accompanied by Joe Roberts, the 15-year old Guest Coach of Red Bull Team.

The 3-day event will kick off from January 18th to 20th at Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT), Chennai, which will be then followed to another 3 day programme from January 25th to 27th. Reportedly, BMW Motorrad and TVS Motors are the supporting authorities of this event. TVS will provide a track ready Apache RTR 180 to learners, while BMW will offer the S1000RR to coaches.

CSS was founded in 1980 and has provided several world champions to the world like Wayne Rainey, Thomas Luthi, James Toseland and Chris Vermuelen. This school has trained more than 1,50,000 riders from 27 countries, which have performed in MotoGP, WSBK and other prominent road racing events. Interestingly, the India’s shining star Sarath Kumar has been also trained by CSS at one point of his learning.

This initiative is not just focussed over providing fast riding abilities to individuals, but also providing safe riding skills to them. Speaking on the same lines, the organising force behind this event, T T Vadarajan commented, “India being a country which has the highest number of road fatalities in the world, needs initiatives such as CSS to help educate riders on safe & skilled riding practices. The Indian motorcycle industry is evolving and with bigger displacement bikes on offer, attending CSS will help new riders cope with the increase in power of these larger and faster bikes.”
