      Cadillac showcases next generation SRX at the 2012 New York Auto Show

      Cadillac, the American luxury vehicle brand owned by General Motors has presented the facelift version of its bestselling model, SRX, a mid-size crossover SUV at the ongoing 2012 New York Auto Show that is said to be incorporating enhanced safety and user friendly attributes.

      With the upgraded safety features such as inclusion of Cadillac's new Driver Awareness and Driver Assist technology packages in the 2013 Cadillac SRX that consists of Adaptive Cruise Control, Safety Alert Seat technology, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Front and Rear Braking among others proving the automaker’s inclination towards taking the safety standards to a whole new level.

      One of the most innovative features embodied in the new SRX is the CUE (Cadillac User Experience) that operates through the 8 inch LCD touch screen to effectively blend vehicle control and connectivity with the 10 Bluetooth-enabled mobile devices, USBs, SD cards and MP3 players with a vehicle infotainment system.

      The new generation Cadillac SRX embodies redesigned front upper and lower grilles and new LED light pipes and front fender vents that gives the SUV a much refined appearance.

      The interiors of the new SUV will accommodate features such as UltraView power sunroof, ambient lighting, keyless access, heated steering wheel along with power-adjustable pedals.

      The automaker will be offering this facelift version of SRX in three vibrant colours - Evolution Green Metallic, Glacier Blue Metallic and Silver Coast Metallic. The SUV is loaded with a powerful 3.6 liter Direct Injection V6 engine that delivers a top power of 308 hp and a top torque of 358 Nm.
