It has been learnt that Scorpio facelift sports the ladder-frame chassis that uses a hydroformed manufacturing technique that renders stiffness to the SUV and at the same time makes it lighter. Tweaks made to the exterior front include newly designed head lamps featuring projector beams, new grille in the front restyled alloys and LED tail lights. Spruced up cabins will come incorporated with new features such as revamped dashboard with refreshed instruments, a new steering wheel, new seat fabrics and a touchscreen infotainment system.

Power will continue to come from the 2.2 litre, four cylinder diesel powertrain that is housed in the current version of Scorpio. The engine will be mated to a tweaked five-speed manual gearbox. Copiously revised Scorpio is expected to retain its popularity and take on rivals like Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport, Tata Safari Storme and Nissan Terrano. On the price front we expect the new Scorpio to be priced between Rs 8.5 lakh to Rs 13 lakh.
