Iconic German manufacturer, BMW has introduced a special edition version of its Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), X6 M. Reportedly, the luxury passenger car maker will be manufacturing only 100 units of the exclusive BMW X6 M Design Edition. In the new variant of X6 M, BMW has given several changes in interiors and exteriors. Industry experts believe that it boasts of sporty and visually striking elements that are offered on the inside and out.
For the interiors, the BMW X6 M Design Edition is provided with full Merino leather besides the two-tone instrument panel in Black/Mugello Red with Mugello Red contrast stitching. Furthermore, this special edition SUV gets an exclusive interior trim in Piano Black shade with an edition-specific badge. Talking about its exteriors, the BMW X6 M Design Edition gets 21-inch M Performance light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design. The paintwork options on the X6 M Design Edition include Alpine White, Sapphire Black and Melbourne Red metallic.
At the front, the BMW X6 M Design Edition gets black BMW kidney grille and dark exterior mirror caps. For achieving better aerodynamism, the company has given a carbon M Performance front splitter and M Performance rear spoiler. As far as the engine configuration of BMW X6 M Design Edition is concerned, it gets the same eight-cylinder petrol engine 4395 cc BMW M TwinPower Turbo as given in the regular version of X6 M. In terms of output, the engine develops a power output worth 555 bhp while attaining a peak torque of 680 Nm. The powerful engine of this car comes paired with a six-speed M Sport automatic transmission system that makes way for shorter shifts.
To take the car on extremes, BMW has also offered the drive select lever apart from the M shift paddles given on the steering wheel. Interestingly, the power of this massive engine is distributed evenly through much appreciated xDrive all-wheel drive system. While for technology, BMW X6 M Design Edition gets numerous advancements to ensure optimum comfort and control for its occupants. For driving, the Dynamic Performance Control system assists while handling the car to allow it become more precise in cornering. The specially tuned Electronic Damper Control (EDC) and Adaptive Drive (body roll minimisation) systems helps in efficient braking and acceleration with no body roll.
