BMW has reworked its X3 lineup in India by introducing the M Sport xDrive 20d version. This model is priced at Rs 54 lakhs (All-India ex-showroom) and is a replacement for the xLine variant. Here then are the highlights of the variant.

M Sport trim

The highlight of this model is, of course, the M Sport package. You get the M spec bumpers, skirts and the wheels which make up the full package. The M spec changes have been priced at just Rs 5 lakhs over the standard model.

Larger screen for iDrive

In addition to the M spec badging, seats, steering wheel and door sil plates, you also get a bigger iDrive touchscreen system as compared to the standard. Also added to the package is a navigation system with 3D maps. The system comes with handwriting recognition technology and a 20GB hard disk.

190bhp 2.0-litre diesel power

Powering this version is a 2.0-litre diesel producing 190bhp/400Nm of torque with power going to all four wheels via an eight-speed AT and xDrive system. While in the standard model you get EcoPro, Comfort and Sport, here you also get a Sport mode.

Extra interior trim and colour options

You can have the cabin done up in what the company has termed Fine-wood trim 'Fineline' Anthracite with highlight trim finishers and Pearl Chrome. Additionally, this variant can be had in extra shades of red, grey, black and white as compared to the standard colour palate.
