The BMW M3 is all set to receive an update and the changes are on the same lines as the recently facelifted 4 Series line-up.

As a part of this facelift, the M3 will now get the head lights with the LED signature line that begins from the grille and moves around each of the main beam lenses. On the other hand, the tail lamps will remain unchanged.

The interiors now have a lot of chrome inserts splashed around the cabin, and the new car also gets ambient lighting. Reports state the upgraded M3 may also get a redesigned illuminated M logo on the front seats along with the updated iDrive5 infotainment software.

Details regarding the powertrain is yet to be released, however sources suggest that a retuned version of the motor that does duty in the current car may find its way to the facelifted M3. The current M3 is available in a regular and ‘Competition’ version that makes 431bhp and 450bhp respectively.

BMW is expected to introduce the facelifted M3 at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year.
