BMW to soon introduce new infotainment system in X5 and X6

German automaker BMW has been known to offer technology and feature loaded cars across the globe. As per a fresh update, the company shall introduce upgraded infotainment system in its X5 and X6 SUVs in the international markets. The company may likely introduce the new upgrades to in 2017 model of X6 and X5. However, it could not be immediately known if the current owners can opt for this upgrade.

The current navigation and infotainment system is operated via iDrive controller. With the fresh upgrade the current 10.25-inch display gets a new touchscreen interface that can be seen in the newly introduced 7-Series. The company shall also offer the latest iDrive 5.0 system that offers enhanced display while retaining the basics. The company has not confirmed it yet if the new system would be offered in India variants as well and more details regarding the same maybe known in the coming days.
