The BMW stall at the 2016 Auto Expo will see the launch of its new flagship 7 Series and also the unveiling of the new generation X1 and facelifted 3 series sedan. These vehicles will be joined by the other machines from the German automaker’s stable in the Indian market.

      BMW 730d

This new 7 Series was unveiled last year and is the sixth generation for the German automaker’s flagship sedan. It was showcased to potential buyers at an event in Goa at the end of last year and will be probably offered in the 730Ld and 750Li nomenclature. We believe that the top of the line 760Li will come at a later date as a rival to Mercedes Maybach models. The design is evolutionary while all the technology has been updated and now includes gesture control for the iDrive system.

      BMW X1

BMW’s X1 is now in its second generation and will for the first time be a FWD model. It is now underpinned by the same UKL1 platform found in the Mini models. The cars have become bigger, longer and by the look of things also spawn a seven-seater variant. Ideally, we can expect it to come in the X1 sdrive 20d format.

      BMW 3 Series

The German automaker launched the current generation BMW 3 series for the Indian market in July 2012 and this is the first update for their entry-level sedan. It gets a new face, updated feature list and obviously a wider and longer kidney grille which is in line with their latest design philosophy.

In addition to these models, we also expect them to showcase their current range and some interesting cars like the i3, 2 Series and most probably their armoured range.
