The price hike is due to the increase in input and operational costs and will be applicable to both, CBU as well as CKD models. Many companies are raising the prices of their products from the New Year in order to compensate the huge costs they have to bear due to ever rising expenses. This is the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers.

Nevertheless, BMW India is making constant efforts to up their brand image in our country especially when its competitors Mercedes-Benz and Audi are doing well in sales. BMW is supporting the 'Make-In-India' initiative under which the manufacturer is locally assembling around 50 per cent components for its popular models like the 1 Series, 3 Series, 3 Series GT, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X3 and the X5. Hopefully, this German luxury car brand will add more exciting new models to their line-up, if not better the brand sales competition.
