BMW India organised a motorcade at Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, on Sunday. In an attempt to cheer the convoy of men and women running in exuberance, the motorcade started from Le Meridian Hotel and reached till the Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium. It was accompanied by a number of celebrities and dignitaries, who themselves were a part of the sprint event.

BMW India was associated with Airtel Delhi Half Marathon in 2012 and this year also, the auto maker supported the cause wholeheartedly. Its model, X6 was the lead car for Men Half Marathon, whereas X1 escorted the Women Half Marathon. Interestingly, the BMW 3 Series Convertible was leading the convoy of Great Delhi Run. Philipp von Sahr, President of BMW Group India, while addressing the occasion, said "We are proud to make a major contribution to this spectacular event. Participating in the Delhi Half Marathon is an extension of our EfficientDynamics philosophy, as a marathon runner, one has to 'run efficient', ensuring maximum endurance while maintaining speed and efficiency."

The Marathon witnessed an array of celebrities, politicians, big business giants and common people, all displaying their invincible spirit. The main ideology behind BMW India to participate in such an athletic event was that the passion of running is same in the car manufactured by BMW and people who ran in the marathon. The motorcade also featured the likes of Milkha Singh, the legendary athlete of India and Donovan Bailey, 100m World Record holder and 100m Olympic and World Champion. The auto cavalcade was indeed a splendiferous occasion, which was made more cherishing by the association of renowned German auto maker.
