After making its debut at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show, BMW M4 vehicle is getting ready for India launch. BMW India president, Mr. Philipp von Sahr had earlier mentioned that the company intends to bring ‘M’ Series models in 2014. Following this strategy, BMW until now has come up with M6 Gran Coupe, M4 is on its way and updated M5 will be rolled out in India before the year ends. M4 is expected to launch in India in the month of August. The company has even started teasing M4 on social media platform like FaceBook, Twitter and YouTube. M4 is the new generation model of M3 Coupe, though it is being introduced with a new nomenclature and hence has been christened M4.
Power will be supplied to the vehicle through a newly developed athletic 3.0 litre, six-cylinder, Twin-Turbo engine that can belt out maximum power of 431 Bhp between 5500-7300 RPM along with a peak torque of 550 Nm between 1850 -5500 RPM. A six-speed manual gearbox will be transmitting power to the rear wheel; besides this a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission could also be offered. The robust engine when coupled to the seven-speed tranny accelerates the vehicle from rest to 100 Kmph within 4.1 seconds. On the other hand when the engine is mated to six-speed manual gearbox it propels the vehicle from 0 to 100 kmph within 4.3 kmph. The vehicle achieves an electronically controlled top speed of 250 kmph.
