      BMW launches innovative Driver Training programme for India

      BMW, the German luxury car maker, has launched a special Driver Training programme in India for its customers. During the initial stage from February to March 2012, this programme will be introduced in Chennai and Delhi NCR. The company's dealers in Gurgaon, Chennai, and Delhi will attract the existing BMW owners to participate in this program.

      Dr. Andreas Schaaf, President, BMW Group India, said, “BMW Driver Training is a signature training programme to improve the driving skills, handling, reaction time and awareness of BMW customers. The aim was, and remains, to provide an opportunity to know the capabilities of a BMW and experience the superior BMW technology. The BMW Driver Training programme is designed to help customers to overcome potential hazards in day-to-day driving.”

      For this purpose, the company has hired professional instructors, who demonstrate varied driving techniques to the customers. The training starts right from seating in a correct posture to appropriate steering handling, emergency and target braking, avoidance manoeuvres, oversteering on bends, and dynamic lane changes.

      With this training programme, the company aims to make the BMW drivers familiar with safe driving techniques, so that they can react calmly in case of any kind of emergency situation. Owing to the practice of dynamic techniques and safety exercises under this program, the drivers get to experience maximum driving pleasure along with complete control over the vehicle
