Lately, BMW launched X5 SUV in India and it has been learnt from sources that the company is now eyeing to launch X3faceliftin domestic market. Sources reveal that thefaceliftversion of the SUV will soon be launched in India. BMW debuted updated X3 at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Plethora changes have been rendered on the SUV that includes a new engine line-up and cosmetic changes. New exterior shades will also be introduced. One of the most prominent changes bestowing a varied look upon 2015 X3 includes new design of the SUV that has been crafted in tandem with BMW’s new design philosophy. Modified exterior brags of a restyled front fascia, redesigned tail, reworked head light sporting a new design and new LED daytime running lights.
BMW has inducted a new 2.0 litre turbocharged, four cylinder engine, a similar kind of engine is housed in 3 Series that engenders a top power and torque output of 180 Hp and 380Nm. Speculations suggest that BMW will add a new trim in the X3 line-up christened sDrive28i. The entry level variant will get the 2.0 litre turbocharged dieselpowertrainthat develops 250bhp of maximum power and 353Nmof peak torque.
Other than the 2.0 litre engine, a 3.0 litre L straight six engine that belts out a pinnacle power of 300bhp along with a top torque of 407Nm. The entry-level variant is expected to be priced aggressively, a hypothetical price of Rs 39lakhis being expected for the SUV.
