      BMW 1 Series facelift launching soon

      BMW, the German luxury carmaker is trying hard to increase its sales in the growing luxury car market. The company has imported the 2016 1 Series facelift for testing purpose that indicates that the vehicle could be launched soon. The updated model made its global debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor show earlier this year. It is equipped with various exterior and interior changes; however, there might be not changes under the hood. Though, the international model has received a new three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.

      The outgoing model is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 143bhp, paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It is expected that the new model will get the same diesel engine. The updated 1 Series also gets cosmetic upgrades, which give it a refreshing look. It features revised headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps, new & wider twin-kidney grille, new alloys, bumpers, etc.

      The side profile looks identical to the previous model, except for few changes given in the form of character lines. At the rear, the hatchback gets new wraparound LED tail lamps and restyled boot-lid. Inside the cabin of the 1 Series facelift is a new touchscreen infotainment system, newly styled switch gears and M Sport steering wheel. It will be equipped with advanced features like Active Stop & Go function, connected Drive and new Park Assist.
