Reports suggest that Bentley’s CEO Wolfgang Durheimer is contemplating further versions of the Bentayga, of which a compact model and a coupe version is likely to be considered.

Despite there being no confirmation about whether the models have been given the nod for development internally, the render gives us an idea of how the compact version could turn out. Armed with a compact Bentayga, the brand could intensify the segment competition which is presently influenced by cars like the Jaguar F-Pace and BMW’s X3.

If the compact Bentayga gets the green signal, it could be introduced by the year 2020 and may be based on the MSB platform which is expected to underpin the next generation Continental GT. Furthermore, Bentley could also look at a Bentayga Coupe for more performance and a sharper design.

Earlier in 2016, Durheimer admitted that the brand was working towards advanced design and engineering for the SUV equivalent of the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept. From the looks of it, Bentley wants to have a solid share of the SUV pie as it makes perfect financial sense since the segment is still booming.
