Bajaj Auto, the country’s second largest two-wheeler maker, is all set to launch bigger and more powerful pulsar model in the Indian auto market in coming years. With new more powerful Pulsar, the company is also planning to launch a series of KTM superbikes in the range of 200cc to 700 cc. With expanding its India portfolio, the company is looking forward to compete more promptly with the rivals like Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha.
Speaking to the reporters in Mumbai on Wednesday, firm’s managing director Rajiv Bajaj said, "We share the same development process with KTM, so you can expect there will be 'a much bigger Pulsar' next year, because we think the market is at an inflection point (at the premium end) and we are in a good position to take advantage with these two brands."
The company has said that it will roll-out a new more powerful Pulsar with a 350 CC Pulsar in the country next year. While further elaborating the company’s future plans of exploring potential in the bigger motorcycle segment, Mr. Bajaj said that there will be a 350 cc Duke next year, so customers can expect something similar with the Pulsar next year. And going forward, in 2014-15 there will be even bigger KTM and even bigger Pulsar.
