Bajaj aims to sell about 50,000 units of the V in the coming 18 months. The 150cc V15 is the first product that is made on this platform. This a new premium commuter bike segment that Bajaj has introduced. The company is confident that it will be able to capitalise on this new segment.
"It is difficult to give a number right now but we are hopeful that we would be able to continue for some time. We as a brand will continue and of course, metal is finite. We are still working on that. Some amount of metals is usable and some cannot be usable. We should be able to sell close to 50,000 units of this bike nationally in the next 12-18 months” stated Sumeet Narang VP, marketing, Bajaj motorcycles.
Bajaj’s new range of Pulsars and Avengers are contributing majorly to its growth in the Indian bike market. The V is a premium commuter segment bike and the first ever to come with a 150cc. The company expects the bigger engine capacity along with its styling to appeal to more bike buyers so they could upgrade to a 150cc instead of a 125cc.
