Fans and lovers of the Pulsar series have been eagerly awaiting any news on the launch of SS200 model from Bajaj Auto. The Indian bike manufacturer, on its part, has been toying with anxiety levels of the media and a customer as the model has been spied testing on a number of occasions, thereby adding fuel to rumour fire. Some sources claim that both Bajaj Pulsar SS200 and SS400 could make way to showrooms in the peak of festive season. The launch of cousin KTM RC200 has further triggered this news and the launch of Bajaj Pulsar SS200 now looks imminent.

It is no secret that Bajaj Pulsar SS200 is going be majorly based on the NS200 naked model. It is expected that this new bike will feature the same 199.55 cc powertrain that delivers an output of 23 BHP along with 18 Nm of torque. Some of the highlights of this bike include aggressively sculpted fuel tank, dual headlamps, split seats and clip-on handle bar, which are same as the SS400 model. Some sources claim that Bajaj Pulsar SS200 has been spotted in a couple of showrooms across the country, meaning that the launch of the bike is just around the corner.

Quite against the run-of-the-mill strategy at present, Bajaj Auto seems to have zero focus on the scooter market in India despite the segment’s serious growth in the past few years. In fact, many two-wheeler manufacturers are investing heavily for the development of a product line for scooters.

The acquisition of a stake in KTM, the Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer, has assisted Bajaj Auto to develop high quality and new engines. Model like Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is an indicator that the firm is moving forward and will be looking to establish a distinct image for itself not only in India but in international markets as well.
