The Pulsar RS 200 is powered by the same 199.5cc triple-spark single-cylinder engine that also powers the 200 NS, and is expected to get a fuel-injection system. This engine will be coupled to a six-speed gearbox, and is capable of producing a top power output of 24.4PS and a peak torque of 18.6Nm.

It weighs 151kgs, which means it is 6kg heavier than the 200 NS. Production of the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 has already begun at the company's Chakan manufacturing unit, and the bikes have already been dispatched to dealerships for customer preview.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 features twin projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps integrated into fairing, LED tail-lamps and ABS. The instrument cluster is directly sourced from the 200 NS.
