      Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS to get ABS variant?

      India’s leading motorcycle and scooter maker, Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch the much-anticipated bike of the year- the Pulsar 200 SS in the country. It will be the company’s fully-faired sports bike in India. Spotted several times on Indian roads, the Pulsar 200 SS is expected to go on sale by the early 2015. The fresh spyshot of the bike revealed an ABS equipped variant of the 200 SS. The spotted vehicle has ABS tone rings on the wheel, indicating an ABS variant also on cards.

      Based on the Pulsar NS 200, the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS is expected to be the most affordable sport bike in the Indian market with an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). Sharing the design with the Pulsar SS 400 - concept shown at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show - the sports bike would feature the same 199.5cc engine that is capable of producing a top power output of 23bhp and a peak torque of 18Nm. This engine also powers the Pulsar NS200.

      Talking about the styling, the Pulsar 200 SS is equipped with a twin-projector head lamps, split seat design, clip-on handlebar, a small side slung exhaust, etc. Also visible are the NS 200 inspired tank and plastic splatter guard. The production of the affordable sports bike has already commenced at the company production facility in Pimpri, Pune.
