Bajaj has launched the 2018 versions of the Avenger Cruise and Avenger Street at an ex-showroom Maharashtra price of Rs 92,954. The bikes sport a design similar to the previous models although they now have refreshed graphics and a few cosmetic changes.
The Avenger Street gets a round headlamp with an LED DRL at the lower end of the unit. It also sports a short fly screen, blacked-out components and alloy wheels to complete its urban-cruiser appeal. The Avenger Cruise on the other hand is embellished in chrome. The bike gets a tall-windscreen, cushioned pillion back rest and a pulled-back handlebar for a laid-back riding position. The bike gets an inverted triangle headlamp flanked by LED DRLs on each side. Both bikes get dual, fully digital instrument clusters; one on the tank and one just above the handlebar.
Mechanically, the bikes remain the same and continue to be powered by a 220cc single-cylinder engine. This unit produces 19bhp and 17.5Nm of torque via a five-speed gearbox. The Avenger Street and Avenger Cruise go head on against the Suzuki Intruder in the Indian market.
