      Bajaj Auto marked a dip of 15 per cent in monthly sales for September 2012

      Bajaj Auto, India's second largest two-wheeler manufacturer, came up with its monthly sales figure for September 2012, which stood at 3,15,314 units with a dip of 15.06 per cent under the review of 3,71,208 motorcycles delivered in the year-ago month. Exports of the auto maker also reduced by 6.12 per cent during the period and stood at 1,33,222 units against 1,41,913 new vehicles delivered to buyers in September last year.

      Considering three-wheeler sales of the company, Bajaj Auto delivered 44,838 units with a fall of 3.53 per cent against the 46,478 units sold in corresponding period last year. In September 2012, cumulative sales of the auto maker stood at 3,60,152 units, which reported a dip of 13.77 per cent when compared to 4,17,686 vehicles sold in the same tenure of 2011.

      Similarly, the month of August 2012 was also not so favourable for the two-wheeler manufacturer as its total sales witnessed a fall of 10 per cent with figures standing at 3,44,906 against 3,82,739 units delivered in same period last year. Considering the year till date sales of the company up to August 2012, the figures marked a fall of 4 per cent with 1,768,027 units delivered during the period under the review of 1,839,266 vehicles sold in corresponding period of 2011.
