The Bachchan kin, country's most illustrious family, is in news again and the latest member Aaradhya Bachchan has been gifted a BMW Mini Cooper as a present on the occasion of her first birthday by her parents. Aaradhya turned one on November 16, 2012 and parents, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai purchased a red and black iconic small car MINI Cooper S to consummate the moment. Evidently, the Bachchan family's smallest and cutest member might be the only child in India to possess an Audi A8 premium luxury saloon and a stylish Mini Cooper.
In an interaction with the press on November 14, 2012 (Children's day), Aaradhya's mother and one of most recognisable Indians across the globe – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, “Time just flies and now Aaradhya will turn one year old. For her first birthday we plan to make it a private and family affair. Only close family and my parents will attend the birthday celebration.”
Expressing his delight on the remarkable birthday present, proud father Abhishek Bachchan said, “First birthdays are generally special for the mothers because they spend so much time with the little ones and take care of them.” Earlier, when Aaradhya was just four months old, her self confessed luxury car lover dad, Abhishek gifted her an Audi A8 premium luxury sports saloon.
Aaradhya, who just turned one is already being enthused with a genuine love for expensive cars, a passion that is shared by both her father and granddad – the undisputed jewel of Indian masses, Amitabh Bachchan. Being born in a family that is headed by a world renowned cinematic star and premium car aficionado, Aaradhya has the most comprehensive garage at home. Reportedly, it was Bachchan senior only who brought the swanky red and black Mini Cooper S from BMW store to the family's home 'Jalsa' on Diwali night (November 13, 2012).
The ultra modish BMW Mini Cooper S carries a retail price tag close to Rs. 27 lacs in the country and is one of most popular cars in the world. The stylish small car holds a 1.6 litre, 1598 cc, 4 cylinder powertrain, which churns out a meaty power and torque equation of 181 bhp and 240 Nm, respectively. Pegged as one of the most adorable of all Mini models ever produced, the Mini Cooper S seems to be perfect car capable of matching cuteness of baby Bachchan.
