Japanese car-maker, Mitsubishi Motors corporation had recently announced the launch of automatic version of its popular SUV Pajero Sports. he SUV that has won the 2012 'Off-roader of the year award' from BBC Top Gear, shall definitely receive a warm welcome on local soils. The latest third generation of Rexton has made it to India through collaborative efforts with the Mahindra brand. The SUV has received quite a lot of technical upgrades since it early inception days.
The current India bound model of Pajero is housed with a 2.5 litre, four pot, diesel mill which comes synchronized with a five speed manual gearbox. Mitsubishi has ample SUVs on offer in the global market, currently around half of the cars in Mitsubishi’s global portfolio comprise of either SUVs or crossovers. The company plans to add more new SUVs and crossovers in the coming time in its global portfolio. The RX7 from Ssangyong is powered by 2696cc, five cylinder diesel RX270 XVT engine that generates about 184 Bhp of power with 402Nm of torque. The powerful engine is mated to five speed electronic transmission and comes with an all wheel drivetrain. The interiors are super spacious and carry a sense of elegance and luxury. The exteriors look sporty and give out a masculine appeal. The 'Eagle eye' shaped projector headlamps provide with ample illumination under various circumstances. The stylish bumper features well designed fog lamps that also compliment the chrome accented grill. Moreover, the SUV has received chrome side moldings that protect the car against scratches deliberately made by bystanders.
